Overview[]
All the dragons of the world have one king and queen. The series starts with only the dragons from Feravel. In the second book we are told of all the dragons in the known world. In the third and final book we see the last of the dragons (the ones that followed the false queen.) After living in caves for centuries the dragons all move to the inner islands of the Far Isles.
The Royal Family[]
The throne is passed from mother to daughter all the way from the first dragon. The current queen is Velika . The current king is Shardas . They have dragonlets in Dragon Spear. The firstborn is female, which Velika explains is good luck.
